Working with you to meet the Net Zero Carbon targets
Let's prepare the NHS fleet ahead of the 2040 cut off of petrol and diesel cars.
NHS LPP has been invited to represent London NHS trusts at the GLA Fleet Managers forum. To support this, NHS LPP are requesting your participation in a fleet data collection exercise. We hope this insight will be of benefit for the public sector by ensureing that vehicles are available in the volumes required ahead of the current 2040 cut off of petrol and diesel cars. We can only do this by demonstrating to vehicle manufacturers the size of the NHS fleet, including outsourced patient transport. Therefore we ask if you could provide information on your current fleet and the contact details of any outsourced transport providers via the attached form .
This request is being sent to colleagues from the NHS, the Ambulance Service, Transport for London and the Police in an effort to;
- understand the variety of vehicles currently being used;
- establish any commonality between vehicle specifications throughout the Public sector with a view to establishing whether there is the economies of scale to be had through future joint procurement projects;
- understand the issues, risks and barriers to introducing an Ultra-low emissions fleets to replace the current petrol/ diesel models.
If you would like to arrange a meeting to discuss your current plans, issues and barriers then please feel free to contact Michelle McCann using the details below.
