Supplementary Mental Health Placements
Trusts currently make use of non-NHS beds to support specific mental health needs. The Government has set a Mental Health National Agenda to eliminate the use of non-NHS Adult Acute beds by March 2021. This framework offers access to both intensive care beds as well as stepped down rehabilitation and community beds.
- All-inclusive pricing structure, reducing competition with the private provider market
- Keeps costs of using non-NHS beds to a minimum
- Consistent service specification to ensure high quality of service and optimal patient experience
- Provides for better integrated working between Mental Health Trusts and private providers, ensuring clear formulation of care plans
