Diabetes prevalence has steadily increased year on year, as has the spend on corresponding treatments. There have been significant changes in national guidance over recent years and there are also a number of new agents and devices available, which practitioners may not be familiar with. For this reason NHS LPP has created a diabetes group to review differences in prescribing across London, reduce inappropriate variation and ultimately support optimal prescribing for diabetes care.

One of the key focuses of the NHS LPP Responsible Diabetes Prescribing group is the creation and distribution of London specific resources for diabetes.

The publically available resources which have currently been produced in partnership with the NHSE London Diabetes Clincial Network are accessible from this page.
