  • This framework will provide ultimate flexibility for supplier innovation, supplier growth and supplier-customer partnerships across the NHS and wider public sector.
  • Mechanisms will be put in place that will allow suppliers to approach LPP to compliantly add new products to their framework portfolio across the full range of different clinical digital solution types included within the scope of the framework.
  • The framework will also allow direct award from either a list price catalogue or as new modules, additional licenses and license and maintenance renewals for existing software included within the scope of the framework.
  • The catalogue list price direct award mechanism enables swift, efficient transformation and easier standardisation of care pathways across a Sustainability and Transformation Partnership (STP) or Integrated Care Systems (ICS); while retaining best value. Best value is ensured through direct award as the Example Local Requirements Tool encourages framework supplier soft market testing prior to award. This has been specifically designed to result in a transparent catalogue of national list pricing against a multitude of potential local requirement scenarios. Alternatively, best value can also be achieved via further competition.

Solution

The term “solution” shall refer to a particular type of clinical system deemed within scope of the new framework.

The term “product” shall refer to a specific clinical digital system package with fixed functionality against a given price

Patient Administration System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Standalone PAS solutions to support organisations not ready for full Electronic Health Record (EHR) functionality

Electronic Health and Care Record Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Comprehensive range of both enterprise and best of breed electronic health and/or care record system solutions.

 Pathology System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Core Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) solutions, Integrated Blood Science Service Systems (includes Clinical Biochemistry, Haematology and Immunology), Blood Transfusion Systems, Blood Bank Systems and system integration/portals.

Radiology System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) solutions, Radiology Information System (RIS) solutions, Vendor Neutral Imaging Archive (VNIA) solutions and radiology system integration/portals.

 Pharmacy System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Pharmacy Dispensing Systems, Electronics Prescribing Medicines Administration (EPMA) solutions, Ward based automation and kiosks, pharmacy workflow management, discharge planning and pharmacy system integration/portals.

AI and Automation Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: AI and Automation Solutions across the complete range of different clinical systems.

Patient Support System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Patient tracking and bed management systems, Personal Health Record (PHR), wearables and home devices.

Specialist Clinical System Solutions 

Functionality including but not limited to: All specialist clinical systems such as maternity, cardiology, renal etc.

Shared Care Record System Solutions

Functionality including but not limited to: Shared cared records spanning multiple organisations across both health and social care, Electronic Master Patient Index (EMPI), Record Locator Service (RLS), Integration Platform, Informatics, Vendor Neutral Archive (VNA), Reporting and Population Health Analytics.
