Work For Us
Whatever your background, we are always on the lookout for motivated people to join our team to support our members, customers and stakeholders to deliver the best possible care for patients up and down the country.
A role at NHS LPP will give you the freedom and flexibility to shape a career which suits you. So, if you’re unsure what it is you’re looking for, our teams can provide you with guidance and help build your skill set so that more doors of possibility can open for you.
A university education is not a requirement for a job here. A willingness to learn, work hard and the ability to use initiative are all favoured over having a first-class honours degree. We know the importance of having a diverse workforce helps us to meet the diverse needs of the communities we serve and to create a positive and inclusive work environment for everyone.
Joining NHS LPP means you’re also joining Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, our host trust, and one of the world’s most reputable healthcare organisations, a leading centre for medical research, innovation and education and training.
If you are interested in joining us, and you’re looking for a challenge in a fast-paced NHS organisation, you can search for current vacancies on Guy’s & St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust’s recruitment page or visit our Linkedin page where we advertise posts. We’d love to hear from you! Or if you have any specific questions relating to a role at NHS LPP, please get in touch with our HR Manager, Kay Petken via Kay.Petken@lpp.nhs.uk.
Staff benefits
At NHS LPP, we know that life can throw real challenges at you, and that’s why we are committed to providing staff with the services and support they need to improve their working lives and achieve a healthy balance between their work and home life. We provide a great range of staff benefits and we are continually looking at how we can expand benefits in line with staff needs.
- Flexible working including compressed hours
We appreciate that for some people, the 9am-5pm working model doesn’t meet the work/home balance needs which is so important for our overall wellbeing. That’s why we offer full-time permanent staff the option to work compressed hours over a four-day week. Other flexible working options include home working, job sharing and part time working.
- Your health and wellbeing
At NHS LPP, your wellbeing matters. We want to ensure that our staff are provided with an environment and the correct support that enables and encourages everyone to lead healthy lives and make positive choices to support wellbeing – including psychological, physical and financial support.
- Vibrant office location
Our modern Curlew Street office is located in the heart of London, situated a stone’s throw from Tower Bridge. So, whether you live in London or commute from neighbouring towns and villages, we are ideally placed.
Our staff have easy access to everything that one of the world’s greatest capital cities has to offer – restaurants, cafés and bars, all the attractions of London's West End, and museums, events and green spaces. Oxford Street, Hyde Park, Soho and the West End are just a walk, tube or bus ride away.
- Pension scheme
The NHS pension scheme is recognised as one of the best in the country. It is a non-profit contributory scheme. It has an excellent range of benefits and is transferable to other public sector organisations. So, if you join us you’ll do so knowing that you are taking care of your future while building your career in the now. More information about the NHS pension scheme can be found here.
- Internal staff award recognition
Our internal staff award programme celebrates staff achievements, whether that has been work to support colleagues or delivering excellent customer service.
- NHS discounts
One of the great things about working for the NHS are the kind discounts companies give us. Sites such as Health Service Discounts, Staff Benefits and The Blue Light Card sort through the wide range of discounts which NHS staff can benefit from – ranging from 5%-30% off a range of shops, restaurants and holidays.
- Salary sacrifice scheme
Staff can benefit from our salary sacrifice scheme run by GSTT, which enables staff to use some of their salary in return for non-cash benefits, and in some instances taking advantage of tax and national insurance savings. This includes a cycle to work scheme with some big brand bikes on offer, a range of electronic gadgets including the latest phones, or access to a brand new, fully maintained and insured lease car.
The scheme is open to all staff on PAYE payroll, including those on permanent or fixed term contracts, although employees won’t be eligible if the salary-sacrifice reductions mean their salary drops below the National Living Wage/National Minimum Wage threshold.
- Staff engagement groups
We have a host of internal staff engagement groups which colleagues can get involved in to make our organisation the best employer it can be and for staff to get to know colleagues from other teams – including our ‘Unwritten Ground Rules’ values programme and our Greener LPP working group to support staff to become more greener both at home and at work.
