Achieving Disability Confident Committed status
NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) is pleased to announce that we have been awarded the Disability Confident Committed status.
Disability Confident organisations play a leading role in changing attitudes for the better, including changing behaviour and cultures in businesses, networks and communities.
As a Disability Confident Committed Employer, we have committed to ensuring our recruitment process is inclusive and accessible, offering an interview to disabled people who meet the minimum criteria for the job, anticipating and providing reasonable adjustments as required and supporting any existing employee who acquires a disability or long term health condition, enabling them to stay in work.
Jordan Cato, Chief Operating Officer at NHS LPP, said: “We are very pleased to have achieved the first level of the Disability Confident scheme. Our ultimate aim is to achieve the next levels and aspire to achieve the Disability Confident Leader status as an organisation. We know that having inclusive recruitment practices creates a positive impact on our workforce.
“Our work with the Disability Confident programme will work to challenge attitudes and increase understanding of disability, help draw from the widest possible pool of talent and support us to secure high-quality staff who are skilled, loyal and hard working. I want to say a special thank you to Preet Tooray, Programme Officer, for helping us to achieve this.”
