Senior Leadership Team update from Lee Joseph, NHS LPP Managing Director

As NHS LPP continues to grow and evolve, I wanted to update you on a change within our senior leadership team. Earlier this year, our Categories Director, Adrian Gibson, who many of you will know well, informed me of his intention to retire at the end of December.

Adrian has been a great servant to the NHS and will be a real loss to all of us at NHS LPP, our stakeholders and the many organisations he has worked closely with throughout his career. It goes without saying that we all wish him a long, happy and healthy retirement.

Following Adrian’s official announcement to our NHS LPP Executive team, we discussed the significant task of finding a replacement that we felt could ‘fill Adrian’s shoes.’ I am delighted to inform you that after a robust external search we have appointed Ursula Hardwick as our new Chief Delivery Officer for NHS LPP. The Executive team also felt this was a good opportunity to review our current trajectory and the role needed to ensure strategic objectives are met. So this is a new role for us which will sit within our Executive team and be responsible for category teams (as Adrian was), with greater accountability to ensure these teams are aligned to member delivery and execution.

Ursula has been a Category Director at NHS LPP on the Frontline Digitisation team for nearly five years so I am very confident she will be a great addition to our NHS LPP senior leadership team and that members will not be disappointed. She begins this new role on Monday 8 September, with planned time over the coming months for Adrian and Ursula to complete a smooth handover.

My congratulations to Ursula and heartfelt thanks to Adrian for all he has brought to NHS LPP. Please do reach out to me directly if you have any further questions on this or require any assistance.
