NHS LPP Apprenticeship Training Providers DPS extends for a further 12 months

This week is National Apprenticeship Week (7-13 February 2022) – a chance to shine a light on the benefits of apprenticeships, both for employers and apprentices themselves, across the country.

In alignment with the week, we’re excited to announce that after the five year initial term, our NHS LPP Apprenticeship Training Providers Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS) is being extended for a further 12 months until April 2023.

Open to all public sector organisations, this DPS provides a legally compliant and quick route to market to procure apprenticeship training providers for one or more apprenticeship schemes within a geographical region. This gives contracting authorities a choice on how best to approach the market. The mini competition approach ensures organisations are always achieving value for money and can be confident that their levy is being spent efficiently with quality training tailored to organisational needs.

This DPS has a comprehensive specification created by NHS education and training leads with full mini competition documents available, and allows for collaborative procurements.

Laura Whitworth, Senior Category Manager for Estates, Facilities and Professional Services, said: “We’re delighted to be extending this DPS for a further 12 months. Levy funds can be used to upskill existing staff, as well as for new staff or school leavers – demonstrating how beneficial it can be for a diverse range of employees at different stages of employment. Using this DPS also allows for creating a motivated, skilled and qualified workforce with knowledge of the organisation.”

The DPS offers 37 different apprenticeship categories, covering clinical, estates and facilities, digital, HR, finance, management and business administration.
