Guidance for trusts on agency use during COVID-19 pandemic

The COVID-19 pandemic is placing unprecedented strain on NHS staff.

In response, the Workforce Alliance is working collaboratively with other Clinical Staffing framework operators, NHS Improvement, NHS England and the Department for Health and Social Care to set clear parameters concerning agency staffing at this difficult time.

In working together, we have set clear expectations that reflect strategic priorities and expectations from both DHSC and NHS/I, along with the local and operational issues encountered at trust level.
