About us

NHS LPP is one of five regional procurement hubs serving the health community in London and beyond. Our members and customers extend across the acute, community and mental health sectors, as well as primary care and clinical commissioning. As part of the NHS, we work with you to drive value, efficiency and better patient care. Our portfolio of products and services are used to deliver effective purchasing solutions for the NHS and wider public sector.

What we do

We have been serving the health community in London and beyond for 20 years to achieve better patient care. We do this through efficient and sustainable procurement products, services and solutions - including framework agreements, efficiency initiatives and best practices. Our categories span Digital & Technology Solutions, Estates, FM and Corporate Services, Healthcare & Pharmacy Services, and HR & Workforce. As a Cabinet Office and NHS England accredited framework provider, our clinically assured frameworks support effective end-to-end procurement with low Activity Based Income (ABI) costs. We are also a national consultancy partner for NHS trusts, ICSs, NHS England and other healthcare organisations, providing key commercial services and support in procurement. Our services, provided at national, regional and local level, are underpinned with commercial acumen, category expertise and well-established health sector knowledge and experience.

Governance

We are owned collectively by all our members, as opposed to one organisation. This gives our members the benefit of equal status and input into our vision, structure, products and services through a series of membership forums and the governance of a member-led Steering Board.

As a not-for-profit NHS organisation, any surplus from our revenue-generating activities is reinvested back into the NHS or returned to our members. NHS LPP is hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT), providing additional governance and importantly, enables us to stay close to patients and users of our services.

We have built and continue to grow a strong network of partners and affiliates so we can offer members and customers an end-to-end range of non-clinical procurement solutions. This means access to broader expertise, greater flexibility and the joined-up support needed to meet changing organisational priorities. It also creates new opportunities for us to deliver even greater value for members and customers in the future.
