Support is tailored to your requirements and could range from focused commercial advice to dedicated end-to-end procurement delivery.

A separate service provided on commission

NHS LPP Commercial Delivery is a specialist paid-for service available to NHS organisations, including NHS LPP members. The service is commissioned separately and is not included within the NHS LPP membership offer or membership fee. Before work begins, we agree the scope, responsibilities, resources, timescales and costs with you.

Digital and complex procurements - experience you can draw on

Our team has extensive experience supporting multi-faceted NHS digital procurements, including Electronic Patient Record (EPR) systems and digital diagnostic solutions. Originally established as the NHS LPP Digital Health team, we were brought on to support the NHSE Frontline Digitisation Programme. This national programme which ran from 2021 until early 2026, supported trusts around the country through NHSE funding.

Our role was to:
• provide the required central support to successfully complete end-to-end procurement process for 42 NHS trusts undergoing digital transformation projects
• safeguard the successful delivery of EPR implementations through robust contractual levers
• develop an NHS EPR procurement and contracting blueprint
• enable better patient outcomes through enhanced digital maturity.

Today, our skills and experience involve bringing together procurement, clinical, operational, technical, financial and executive stakeholders to develop clear requirements and appropriate commercial arrangements. This can include consideration of implementation, integration, service levels, pricing, supplier responsibilities, performance measures, change control and exit arrangements.

The same structured approach can also be applied to intricate projects outside digital health. The team now applies this experience to a broader range of intricately challenging digital, commercial and strategically important NHS projects, as per the examples provided above. We use learning from previous procurements to strengthen delivery approaches, improve documentation and identify common risks, while tailoring every engagement to the individual customer.
