NHS London Procurement Partnership (LPP) welcomes new managing director
We are pleased to announce the appointment of our new managing director, Michael Pace, following the retirement of Mario Varela at the end of September.
John Goulston, Chair of the LPP Steering Board and Chief Executive at Croydon Health Services NHS Trust said,
"With the retirement of Mario Varela at the end of September, it gives me great pleasure to inform you that Michael Pace has been appointed as the Managing Director of the NHS London Procurement Partnership from Monday, 8th October 2018.
"Michael offers extensive senior procurement experience across the UK and North America, within the NHS, retail and manufacturing sectors, with a focus on leading innovative procurement programmes. He is no stranger to LPP having been its Commercial and Business Development Director between October 2011 and November 2012.
"Michael has extensive NHS procurement experience from his four years as the Head of Procurement at Great Ormond Street and his eCommerce work while at the NHS Purchasing and Supply Agency. He has previously spent six years with Trading Partners, the E-auction specialists who operated out of offices in London and Chicago. More recently, Michael has been a member of the team at the NHS Business Services Authority who are managing the outsourced DHL supply chain contract and supporting the introduction of the category towers under the Future Operating Model.
