NHS LPP shortlisted for two HCSA awards
NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) has been shortlisted for two prestigious HCSA Awards.
In what has been a record year for submissions, the Medicines Optimisation and Pharmacy Procurement (MOPP) team was shortlisted in the Clinical Procurement in Partnership category, while the Estates Facilities and Corporate Services (EFCS) team is up for the Procurement Team of the Year Award.
Jas Khambh, Clinical Director for MOPP, said: “This is a great reflection of the amount of work that the team put in to their roles over the last year. This project was about making sure ongoing medicine supplies and associated care, initiated by the hospital prescriber, are received directly by the patient in their home. The purpose of this service is to improve patient care and choice of treatment.”
Adrian Woodmore, Interim Category Director for EFCS on the project, said: “I am thrilled for the team. Their dedication and commitment deserves to be recognised so this is wonderful news. This year we’ve managed to support the NHS to deliver a huge range of projects, from individual contract procurements and the creation of new frameworks, to bespoke consultancy pieces such as opportunity analysis and process review. There are some exciting changes happening in the team over the next few months and we all hope we can continue to support our NHS trusts to deliver savings, service improvement and value.”
Michael Pace, Managing Director of NHS LPP, said: “I am delighted for the shortlisted teams. Their knowledge and skills are second to none and they richly deserve this recognition. The last 12 months have not been easy for anyone and I have been so proud at the way not just those shortlisted, but the entire team at NHS LPP, has dealt with these challenging times with professionalism and a commitment to excellence.”
The HCSA Awards will be presented on 23 November in Manchester.
