New Medical Director joins NHS London Procurement Partnership

NHS London Procurement Partnership (NHS LPP) is pleased to announce the appointment of its very first Medical Director, demonstrating its commitment to ensuring procurement works hand-in-hand with patient care.

Having practised medicine for more than 20 years, Dr Andrew Stradling will be joining NHS LPP this month from his current role as Clinical Director for an Integrated Care Partnership (ICS) where he has maintained a patient-facing clinical role alongside his leadership responsibilities.

Andrew has held senior leadership positions within the NHS, including working as Consultant in Emergency Medicine for many years, and has significant experience in launching new services, chairing local and regional boards and advising on healthcare systems in the UK and overseas. Andrew has also worked in an educational role alongside his clinical work, as an instructor and medical director for several national clinical courses.

Andrew said: “I am delighted to have been appointed as Medical Director for NHS LPP. I’m really looking forward to utilising my skills and experience and working with the executive team and NHS LPP staff to further improve the procurement services provided to member trusts and to make sure patient care is kept at the forefront of all we do.”

Michael Pace, Managing Director at NHS LPP, said: “We’re very excited for Andrew to be joining the NHS LPP team. His significant leadership experience and clinical knowledge make Andrew extremely well qualified for this role and I am sure that he will make an enormous contribution to the work we do to support our members.”
