NHS LPP launches Module 4 of the Social Value Curriculum

NHS LPP is pleased to announce the launch of Module 4 of our Social Value Curriculum, now available for all our member trusts. This new module, ‘Contract management and reporting of social value’, is designed to ensure that NHS trust staff can secure impactful and compliant contract delivery throughout the procurement life cycle.

Take control of your contracts this financial year

As we start the new financial year, it is more important than ever for NHS member trusts to review their existing contracts and ensure that they are delivering value for money while contributing to the NHS’s net zero targets. Module 4 equips professionals with the necessary skills to do just that.

Additionally, with the Procurement Act 2023 now live, Module 4 addresses key changes in the procurement landscape, providing crucial guidance on managing and reporting social value outcomes effectively. Michelle McCann, Chief Sustainability and Innovation Officer at NHS LPP said: “Contract management has become a critical component of the Procurement Act 2023, and NHS LPP has responded by providing procurement professionals in our member trusts with the tools needed to ensure compliance and maximise social value outcomes”.

The module is CPD-certified, reinforcing NHS LPP’s commitment to offering high-quality, professional development for those involved in procurement and contract management. By completing Module 4, procurement professionals will gain a deep understanding of how to manage social value throughout the lifecycle of contracts, ensuring that social value commitments are met and reported accurately.

Upon successful completion of Module 4, attendees will be able to:

2. Mobilise suppliers for social value delivery in live contracts 
3. Interpret the performance of social value delivery in live contracts 
4. Address off-target delivery of social value, applying remedies where appropriate
