Governance

As a procurement hub, NHS LPP is collectively owned by its members rather than by a single organisation. This means every member has an equal voice in shaping our vision, priorities, products and services through our member-led Steering Board.

Steering Board governance

NHS LPP is governed by a steering board, with support from individual category boards and a corporate services team.

The Steering Board provides oversight and assurance into our culture, strategic focus, effectiveness, compliancy and financial sustainability - holding the NHS LPP executive to account guaranteeing the highest standard of performance and delivery of the member-agreed corporate vision and purpose. Beyond fulfilling a duty of care and ensuring that the organisation acts in the best interest of its people and its members, board members provide strategic insight across all the areas that we influence and serve as ambassadors and advocates for our work. The Steering Board is responsible for:

  • Sponsoring and governing NHS LPP
  • Helping the partnership team overcome barriers
  • Delivering key messages to trusts and commissioners
  • Reviewing progress and approving milestone gates.

Host trust governance

NHS LPP is hosted by Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust (GSTT), providing additional governance and importantly, enabling us to stay close to patients and users of our services.
