This month, the NHS turns 75 and since it was founded on 5 July 1948, the service has always innovated and adapted to meet the needs of each generation. Now, 75 years on, the NHS’s founding principles remain as relevant today as they were then.

The national annual air pollution campaign, Clean Air Day, takes place on 15 June 2023 and as part of this we wanted to reiterate the desperate need for all of us to play our part to improve air quality and enhance the health of our local communities.

On behalf of our members, and in conjunction with the CIO Council, NHS LPP commissioned a study on digital collaborative procurement in the region. The research and recommendations have been published for members in a new report entitled ‘Digital Collaborative Procurement’.

Following member consultation conducted by the NHS PiP Transport group, a new category will be added to the Non-Emergency Patient Transport Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS), delivered by NHS London Procurement Partnership. This new category will be the Non-Specialist Transport service.
